The Studio
Departement Inconnu is a studio for high-end CGI and 3D content. It began with one idea. A client should never have to assemble a team to bring a single project to life, no roster of freelancers to coordinate, no indoor studio to manage. Instead, we convene the exact fit of skills and talent each project calls for, and carry it from first idea to final master.
Approach
Every frame is built by hand, with real craft and real skill. No AI shortcuts. The ambition runs further than clean execution. Most advertising settles for showing a product. We build narration and intention into the work, and pull it closer to art. The response has been consistent, audiences engage with it in a way a plain execution rarely earns.
Founder
Departement Inconnu was founded by Thomas Radenne, a French industrial and 3D designer. He spent most of his career in the apparel industry, working with Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Adidas and Salomon, before leaving to start the studio. Today his work sits closer to art direction, and to art itself, moving between commissioned projects and a more personal, exploratory practice.
Alongside commissioned campaigns, the studio keeps a private, exploratory practice. Pieces conceived on demand, for collectors, brands, and ourselves, some living on screens, others real enough to hold. What follows is a glimpse of the archive.

Consider this an open invitation. Whatever you're building, a campaign, a launch, a brand, we'd happily bring our art and craftsmanship to it, and take it somewhere advertising rarely goes. Tell us what you have in mind. We read everything, and reply personally.
